Why do pipes corrode?
Galvanized or brass pipes and copper tubing have scale buildup caused by various factors such as: calcium, hard water, rust and lime etc. The results of these buildups are reduced water flow, rusty or dirty water, pipe leaks or breaks and usually lead to very high replacement costs of these corroded pipes throughout an entire building.
